After clicking auto-focus, the laser module will move to directly above the location of the pattern on the material, with the laser machine descending to the optimal working distance of 40mm from the surface.
- Auto-focus succeeds: the laser module will return to the rear left, and the machine will remain at the descended height.
- Auto-focus fails: the laser machine doesn't descend or only descend halfway, then automatically rise to the full height with the laser module returning to the rear left for homing.
Note:
- The cylindrical mode does not have the auto focus function, but the machine will measure the optimal working distance based on the input cylinder diameter or circumference.
If auto-focus fails, please check the following details:
1. The machine is not under strong light.
- Use a black cloth or other objects to cover the lid of the machine.
- Remember not to put heavy objects on the machine, otherwise the machine cannot rise and fall normally.
2. Material-related issues:
①There is material placed inside the machine.
②The surface of the material is not reflective. In this case, the light cannot stay on the surface of the object, causing the material to be undetectable, and the laser module will hit the material.
- Place a thin tissue on the surface, then focus again. Remove the tissue after auto-focus and click start.
③If the material is deep black or dark in color.
- Because the color of the material is similar to the color inside the machine, it cannot be recognized.
- It is recommended to place a thin tissue on the surface of the material, or put the material on other colored objects, then focus, remove the tissue and click start.
④If the material is transparent, the laser module also cannot detect the object.
- It is recommended to first perform surface treatment, spray paint or stick other colored metal marking paper, and then auto-focus.
3. Software-related Issue:
If there are previous patterns on the canvas, forgot to delete, and directly imported new patterns on the canvas. In this case, the red dot under the laser module will not stay on the material surface when focusing, but elsewhere.
4. Laser machine related issue: The camera lens at the bottom of the laser module has dust, causing the object to be undetectable.
Please use a cotton swab or non-woven cloth to clean it.

Try a common wood piece to run a test, if the issue persists, please turn off auto-focus and try manual focus. Auto Focusing
