-
- when you see a green dot, it means the connection is successful.
What if the dot still greyed out?
Possible reasons causing the USB connection failure are as follows:
- USB driver is not successfully installed.
- Poor connection of the USB header on the mainboard
- USB cord is damaged.
Please follow the steps below to do the trouble-shooting.
Step 1. Power on the machine, ensure it is connected to your laptop using the USB cord.
Step 2. Go to Device Manager>look for the USB Ethernet/RNDIS Gadget.
If this option cannot be found, it means that you need to reinstall the USB driver.

Step 3. Under Ports, looking for the USB-Serial CH 340(COM6).
If this option cannot be found, it suggests there could be something wrong with either the USB port on your laptop or the USB connection on the mainboard.
- try a different USB port on your laptop to see if the issue can be resolved or not.
- Check the USB connection on the mainboard.
Step 4. If neither the USB ethernet is listed under "Network adapters" in step 2 nor the USB is recognized under "Ports" in Step 3, it suggests that there could be an issue with the USB cord itself. You may get a regular printer cable to see if it works.
