After powering on the Vision laser, if the laser head crashes into the left or right side of the frame, please follow the steps below for troubleshooting:
If the laser head crashes to the left side:
-
Powering off the laser first! manually move the laser head to the left side and check if the metal pin can correctly insert into the hole on the side of the laser head.
-
Disassemble the laser head and check if the optical coupler (optocoupler) is intact. Please note that the optocoupler is covered by a silicone dust cover. You will need to carefully use a tool to peel the silicone cover open from one side. Do not forcefully pull or pry it open, as this may break the optocoupler inside.
-
If the optocoupler is confirmed to be intact, move the laser head to the left again and see if the metal pin properly inserts into the center of the optocoupler. Make sure the metal pin is inserted horizontally — not tilted upward or downward. If it's misaligned, gently adjust it by hand.
If the laser head crashes to the right side:
- Unplug and replug the ribbon cable at the back of the laser head to ensure a firm connection. Also, check the ribbon cable for any signs of bending or creases or pins burnt — if found, the cable should be replaced.
-
Disassemble the laser head and check if the inner groove of the optocoupler is dirty. If so, clean it thoroughly. Again, the optocoupler is covered by a silicone dust cover, so you'll need to peel it open from one side using a tool. Do not forcefully pry it, as this could damage the internal component.
