This article introduces how to solve the problem of exceeding device processing capacity when users upload certain images, and provides two practical solutions.
Reason: Why would this issue occur?
When uploading large image files into MakeIt and clicking on "start", you might receive a warning message indicating that the graphic is too large, exceeding the device’s capacity (as shown below), this is usually due to the overly rich content or high resolution of the image, which may cause the device to process slowly or be unable to process.
To address this issue, there are 2 alternative solutions:
Solution1: Adjusting the Graphic Size
1. Select the image you just uploaded into MakeIt, click on “lock” to maintain the aspect ratio and avoid image distortion
2. Enter the new width and height values (adjust as needed) or you may manually resize it by dragging the mouse
3. Adjust other parameters if needed, click on “auto-focus”-- “start” to create your own project.
Solution 2: Adjusting Processing Parameters by Reducing Line Density
Select the image you just uploaded into Makeit, in the right functional area, manually reduce “line density”. Please note: The default line density is set to 100. We recommend reducing it by 10 each time, and then clicking "auto focus" -- "start" to see if the engraving process can proceed smoothly. If not, reduce it another 10 from the last attempt and repeat the above process.
